Brooke Ferd is an oboist and woodwind performer based in California. She is an active freelance live musician for orchestras, recording studios, and chamber groups. Brooke has performed in various central California ensembles including oboe II/English Horn in the Sequoia Symphony in Visalia, CA, and performing in the Sydney Opera House, CASMEC, and Midwest Clinic. In addition to her live performance work, she is a session musician for composers, cover artists, and personal arranging projects. Her work is featured under the “Listen” tab, where you can see recording tracks along with production/mixing work. She records various woodwinds and instruments in addition to oboe and English Horn.

Brooke’s arranging and production projects can be found on music distribution platforms as well as a YouTube channel followed by many game audio enthusiasts. In 2019, she won the best acoustic/chamber category at the G.A.N.G. (Game Audio Network Guild) MAGFest Remix awards for her Celtic woodwind arrangement of “Home Termina” from Chrono Cross. She has appeared in dozens of video game cover albums and live performances centered around the celebration of video game music.

In addition to her performance work, she is an active music educator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with honors and a cleared California Teaching Credential. In 2020, she was awarded Teacher of the Year as a band, choir, general music, and orchestra teacher of over 800 students.
